Located within the San Diego metro area, Chula Vista is a place to mesmerize into the beautiful sunset. It is the second largest city in the area. History of Chula Vista

The history of Chula Vista dates back to millions of years. In 3000 B.C., Yuman language speaking people started moving into the area of what now is known as Chula Vista. The Kumeyaay Indians lived in the area for hundreds of years. In 1542, Spanish claimed the area. Several Native American Indians in the area today are the Kumeyaay tribe descandants. In 1911, Chula Vista was founded and incorporated.  The city grew rapidly with several major developments.
